A continuous initiative of free medical campaign initially at Greater Mirpur Zone followed by other important places of Dhaka has been decided. Consequently, the formal opening of this noble campaign has taken place at Mirpur 10, the chamber (Beside old Aalok Healthcare building) of Doctor Md. Imran Hossain Sabet on 22 September 2023 just before Jumma prayer. Distinguished personalities of society and a dynamic team of doctors alongside media representatives were present. Team Positive Bangladesh (TPB) & Bangladesh Traditional Medical Association (BTMA) organized the event & will continue the campaign in collaboration with YES MAM team & HHH Telemedicine.
Professor Dr. Titu Miah (Director General of DoH, Mohakhali) was the chief guest. He joined the inauguration event through video call giving speech full of directions for future success of the campaign. Another eminent doctor, elder brother of martyred hero Asad, Md. Azizullah M Nuruzzaman Noor (Former director of DoH) was another special guest. He wished the campaign a grand success and chose Mirpur suburb for campaign’s start because of densely population and some poverty-stricken zone. His concrete and specific speech was admired by all concerned. Social contributor, Engineer Atiqul Haque Mazumder clarified the campaign patterns and details in his valuable speech. Former Female Councilor of Mirpur, Rashida Akter Jharna & Eminent businessman Md. Shahjahan were also present. YES MAM’s founder Kanchan Nahar Shanta & Cofounder Khairul Islam (Taj) were actively present in the session. The event came to a close through some patients visit. To note, the campaign would take place at Mirpur every week, gradually it will continue at ICT Ministry & other office premises at Agargaon, Dhaka under the supervision of YES MAM.
