Rafat Ara Dalia is an elegant and dedicated individual, much known for her passion and commitment to promote a unique line of recipes inherited from her distinguished ancestors. These food recipes are Bengali taste-bud oriented, with something more than traditional hit, something more special than usual. Finishing & ultimate strike of taste seem wonderful as well. Basically, Rafat Ara Dalia served as the Managing Director of Pussur Shipping Limited, the leading and most prestigious shipping company in Khulna, for nine years. Following her tenure there, she pursued a career as an interior and fashion designer, buckling up numerous prestigious awards and recognition for her exceptional design work. Currently, she is actively involved in the food industry, driven by her deep passion and love for her craft.
She was born into an elite Muslim family, with her father being a landlord & successful merchant owning Int’l shipping line in Khulna and her forefathers belonging to the similar aristocracy of Cumilla. Needless to say, Dalia hails from a distinguished family and is the only adorable child of her parents. Her husband is a retired army officer, and together they are blessed with two sons. Her personal favorite cuisine is authentic Thai food, and her hobbies include traveling and social gatherings.

Ans: I believe, Bangladesh’s food industry is a strong career choice for young people, with expanding opportunities in culinary arts, online food services, and hospitality. Globalization and increased interaction with other countries through travel, food blogging, and a passion for diverse cuisines have driven demand for new food experiences. The growth of delivery platforms also makes it easier to start a business or find stable employment opportunity. With a growing trend of food safety and tourism, this field offers a solid path for the Bangladeshi youth enthusiastic about food and innovation.
Q. Why are you passionate about Food Catering business?
An: I don’t merely focus on food and catering business trend; rather, my priority has always been health and hygiene. Since I started my online food business ‘Taste T Meals by Dalia’ in 2020, I’ve ensured that every dish meets high standard. At that time, opening a physical outlet wasn’t possible; but now, with the passage of time & in line with my food’s popularity and inspirations of my valued customers encourage me to start a location. Therefore, I’m planning to open an outlet. This will include both my catering services and other offerings.
